The chemicals used left an unpleasant odor, but Alex opened windows and used ceiling fans for ventilation and to assist with drying. 30 minutes after Alex finished, a roll arose in the carpeting across the downstairs bedroom: we were assured it would lay back down once the carpet dried, which it did. The other issue is that the carpeting feels stiffer and scratchy in places.
