Terms and Conditions

By accepting an estimate or scheduling service, the customer agrees to the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Payment Terms

• A 50% down payment is required to secure scheduling. The remaining balance is due upon completion of services.
• Full prepayment is accepted but not required.
• All down payments are non-refundable, as materials, labor scheduling, and logistics are allocated upon acceptance.

2. Scheduling, Weather & Seasonal Limitations

• Service dates are scheduled based on availability, weather conditions, and operational logistics.
• Elegant Estates reserves the right to reschedule services due to:

• Weather conditions
• Freezing temperatures
• Unsafe working conditions
• Equipment or staffing availability
• Site readiness

Certain services (including washing and installation) cannot be performed in freezing conditions or when soils are frozen.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

• A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
• Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours of scheduled service may be subject to a service fee to account for lost scheduling, labor allocation, and logistics.

4. Property Access & Utilities

The customer agrees to provide clear, safe access to all service areas.

Water Usage:

• Municipal water: Customer supply will be used
• Well systems: Customer may allow use or request that Elegant Estates supply water (recommended to protect well systems)

Electricity:

• Customer agrees to provide access to electrical outlets when required for service or installation work.

5. Pet & Safety Considerations

Customers are responsible for keeping pets safely secured during service.

Wash Services:

• While cleaning solutions are applied responsibly and diluted, pets should not be allowed to drink from puddles or wet surfaces during or immediately after service.

EcoGuard Applications:

• No pet or barefoot contact is recommended while surfaces are wet
• Normal use may resume once surfaces are fully dry

6. Pre-Existing Conditions & Liability

Elegant Estates is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions, whether visible or not, including but not limited to:

• Deteriorated siding, roofing, or structural materials
• Improper flashing or sealing
• Window seal failure or fogging
• Loose or failing gutters, brackets, or seams
• Cracked, compromised, or improperly installed surfaces
• Oxidation becoming visible after cleaning

Cleaning and restoration services may reveal underlying issues that were not visible prior to service.

7. General Service Limitations

The following conditions are outside the control of Elegant Estates and are not considered service defects:

• Biological regrowth over time
• Efflorescence returning
• Environmental staining
• Surface wear due to age, UV exposure, or prior neglect
• Moisture-related issues from existing construction

8. Marketing & Documentation

Elegant Estates reserves the right to take before-and-after photos for documentation, quality control, and marketing purposes.

9. Warranty Overview

Warranty offerings vary by service and are outlined separately.

• Roof Washing: 3-Year Guarantee
• House Washing: 1-Year Guarantee
• Hardscape Installation: 5-Year Warranty
• Paver Repairs: Not warrantied
• Landscape Plantings: Not warrantied

Service-Specific Terms

10. Power / Pressure Washing

Pressure washing may expose pre-existing defects such as cracks, deterioration, or embedded staining.

Elegant Estates is not responsible for damage resulting from:

• Pre-existing structural weaknesses
• Improper installation
• Aged or deteriorated materials

11. Soft Washing (House Washing)

Soft washing uses low pressure and specialized detergents.

This service:

• Does not remove oxidation
• Does not remove artillery fungus or deeply embedded staining
• May reveal oxidation or surface wear

Water intrusion may occur if structures are improperly sealed. Elegant Estates is not responsible for such conditions.

12. Roof Washing

Roof cleaning is performed using low-pressure application in accordance with industry standards, including ARMA guidelines.

Important expectations:

• Results may take days, weeks, or longer to fully develop
• No high-pressure washing is used
• Some staining may remain if caused by granule loss or roof deterioration

Elegant Estates is not responsible for leaks resulting from pre-existing roof defects.

13. Paver Cleaning

Paver cleaning removes surface buildup but does not correct:

• Joint failure
• Base instability
• Drainage issues

Some staining may remain depending on condition.

14. Paver Restoration

Paver restoration includes deep cleaning and joint material replacement.

This service does not correct:

• Structural base failure
• Subgrade movement
• Long-term drainage issues

Important notes:

• Joint materials (including polymeric and resin sand) naturally degrade over time
• Freeze-thaw cycles may impact performance
• Improper original installation may result in future joint failure
• Efflorescence may return

Repairs are not included unless specified and are billed separately.

15. Paver Repair

Paver repairs address localized issues only.

Repairs:

• Do not correct underlying systemic issues
• Are not warrantied
• May be impacted by surrounding conditions beyond control

16. EcoGuard Treatment

EcoGuard is a preventative treatment designed to slow biological growth.

It is not:

• A sealer
• A cleaning service
• A permanent solution

EcoGuard:

• Does not prevent dirt accumulation
• Does not stop growth entirely
• Requires repeat applications for best results (typically twice per season)

17. Fence & Deck Cleaning

Wood and composite surfaces may experience:

• Furring (raised wood grain)
• Splintering
• Surface lightening

These are natural results of cleaning aged or weathered materials and are not considered damage.

18. Gutter Services

Gutter Cleaning (Exterior): Removal of surface organic staining and debris

Gutter Clean-Out: Removal of internal debris and flushing of downspouts

Gutter Brightening: Removal of electrostatic staining (results may vary)

Important notes:

• Brightening effectiveness depends on gutter condition and paint integrity
• Older gutters may not respond to brightening

Clean-Out Methods:

• Manual removal: debris collected
• Water flushing: debris may remain on ground

Elegant Estates is not responsible for:

• Weak or degraded mounting brackets or wires
• Gutter seam leaks or failures
• Underground drainage blockages

19. Specialty Stain Removal

Not all stains can be fully removed.

Results may include:

• Partial removal
• Lightening only

Risks may include:

• Surface alteration
• Etching
• Color variation

Multiple treatments may be required.

20. Design & Installation Services

Design Services

Design plans and measurements are conceptual and subject to site verification.

Installation Services

Elegant Estates is not responsible for:

• Subsurface conditions not visible at time of installation
• Soil movement, settlement, or compaction changes
• Burrowing animals or subterranean activity (ants, rodents, etc.)
• Environmental conditions or acts of God
• Drainage changes occurring after installation

Use Limitations: Installed surfaces are designed for intended use. Damage resulting from use outside of design specifications (such as vehicular traffic on pedestrian-rated surfaces) is not covered.

21. Underground Utilities Disclaimer

All excavation work follows UFPO (Underground Facilities Protection Organization) guidelines, including utility marking prior to digging.

Elegant Estates is not responsible for:

• Unmarked underground utilities
• Incorrectly marked utilities
• Private or undocumented utility lines
